Plastics for Books is an ECHO initiative that connects environmental action with educational access. The programme promotes the collection and recovery of plastic waste and explores how its value can be redirected towards books and other learning resources for children in underserved communities.
Working with schools, communities, recyclers, businesses and other partners, Plastics for Books encourages responsible waste recovery while advancing circular economy practices and environmental awareness. The initiative builds on ECHO’s commitment to addressing interconnected education and climate challenges, with ReadCycle providing a natural pathway for translating recovered value into educational resources.
